Challenges:
With 130 staff across six offices in Chesterfield, Sheffield, Dronfield and Mansfield, Banner Jones Solicitors was facing some challenges with its ageing core IT platform.
Shifts to remote working alongside increasingly complex security and regulatory compliance requirements meant the award-winning solicitors wanted to fundamentally change its IT. The change in IT was driven by a greater requirement for flexibility and performance, growing amount of data and application requirements.
Solution:
Legal IT specialist P2 worked with Banner Jones’ IT management team to conduct a consultive review of the IT function’s current performance and infrastructure design. The comprehensive assessment also included infrastructure performance, resilience, flexibility, security, applications and licenses with objective comparisons to establish best value, investment and benefits based their requirements.
A new hybrid cloud infrastructure was proposed to provide a robust design to optimise performance and flexibility and provide staff with efficient access to data anywhere.
Results:
Banner Jones now has a high performance hybrid cloud server model underpinning its core infrastructure. With this resilient design, staff can be seamlessly accommodated at any location including working at home.
The solution also includes a full rollout of Microsoft 365 to provide increased productivity across the entire Teams and Office suite. All the Banner Jones team can enjoy access to modern applications securely use data from any location with centrally controlled access.
In the offices staff can also benefit from a refreshed workstation environment, with performance specifications tailored based on individual role requirements. From IT’s perspective, Microsoft Intune has been adopted to provide efficient desktop management and application delivery.
